Caramel Treats
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 125g soft caramels
- 300g white marshmallows
- 6 cups Kellogg's® Rice Bubbles®
DIRECTIONS
1. Melt the margarine in a large saucepan over low heat.
2. Add the caramels and marshmallows. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add Kellogg's® Rice Bubbles® and combine until Rice Bubbles are well coated.
3. Using the buttered spatula or waxed paper, press the mixture evenly into a 32½ X 22½ X 5cm pan coated with cooking oil spray. Cut into 5cm squares when cool.
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place margarine, caramels and marshmallow into a large heatproof bowl.
2. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well and microwave for a further 30 to 60 seconds or until the caramels are melted.
3. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
4. Add the Kellogg's® Rice Bubbles® and combine until Rice Bubbles are well coated.
5. Using the buttered spatula or waxed paper, press the mixture evenly into a 32½ X 22½ X 5cm pan coated with cooking oil spray.
6. Cut into 5cm squares when cool.
